The Westering Hills

The birdbath that we have placed in our backyard so the cute little birdies could have a refreshment, take a bath, and commune in brightly-chirping harmony is now the subject of a full-on turf war between two neighborhood crow factions. There is a very angry fight underway as I type this. One of the factions has actually placed a CROW GUARD over the birdbath on the pine tree branch above it! I knew the crows were using it (they dunk bread in it which makes the water really gross) but I had no idea it was such prime real estate!
