More damn photos!
Yep, it’s the old photos-as-blog-entry routine. Truth be told, there’s not too much to write about these days. Due to a department-wide reorganization, my workplace just got very interesting. And confusing. I still have a job, I’m just not sure what my job is going to look like by the end of the year, and that’s about all I can divulge for the moment. I’ve been pretty good about jumping onto the elliptical trainer at home and am not only getting in 45 minutes to an hour of cardio at a time, I’m blazing through my Netflix queue like nobody’s business! Barrett’s band’s new album is coming out next month and the touring will commence shortly thereafter. Other than that, it’s pretty quiet ’round these parts. Now for the photos!
Tomato plants are such drama queens! “Cough, cough! I haven’t been watered in 24 HOURS! I’m, I’m . . . dying. Goodbye . . .”

One hour after hosing it down: “Thanks for the drink, babe!” [points fingerguns at me, winks slyly]

This? Is waaaaaay too much lettuce for two people. What was I thinking?! And it won’t stop growing either!

Look! It’s my first zucchini ever! I’m sure a month from now, the excitement will have worn off as I sneak off in the dead of night laying zucchinis on random doorsteps just to get rid of the enormous harvest that is sure to come.

Planting harebells by the front door a few years ago was one of the smartest ideas I’ve ever had. Seeing these gorgeous flowers as I walk out the front door on my way to work, and conversely seeing them after a long day at work, makes me very happy.

Every year, I forget, and am thus surprised, by the fact that this clematis is actually two different vines with different amazing colored flowers.

Striped yellow grass, Kentucky mint, and a baby Japanese maple that I’ve been nurturing for two years now, next to the front walkway.

Oh yeah, one more big thing did happen: Barrett’s car completely died. Say farewell to Mr. Gino Tequila, the 1993 Ford Escort, faithful lo these many years.
