The Westering Hills

Eat Real Food Challenge, Day 12

Ha ha! See? This project has gotten sufficiently tedious enough that not only did no one comment on the last post, but I bet no one noticed that I forgot to update last night! I was out until late and too tired to bother. Here ’tis, though, Thursday’s meals.

Breakfast: rye toast, coffee with cream.

Lunch: I was quite proud of my lunch. I had the energy somehow to cut up and steam asparagus & defrost the frozen shrimp while I dressed for work, then drizzled the asparagus with a bit of sesame oil after plunging it in cold water. I packed the asparagus and shrimp in a container and took it to work along with some Ryvita crackers, a piece of mozz cheese, an orange, and a banana. It was one of the best lunches I’ve made! It got lots of comments from coworkers, envious of the asparagus/shrimp combo.

Dinner: Barrett and I were seeing a movie at 8:45, so we met up at a brewpub for dinner, had one beer and a homemade veggie pizza there. Then had another microbrew at a different place. The microbrews made my stomach hurt, as usual. I’m too old for that crap!

I’ve never thought to COOK anything for my lunch in the morning as I got ready. Wow. That’s, like, totally revolutionary. And sounds super yum! And easy, too. Hmmmmm….I might just be able to pull that one off.

I noticed your lack of update! I just didn’t say anything about it is all.
