Fried quail egg—so cute!

One day, it was so warm, we put an ice cube on Colin. He left it untouched for a full five minutes.

Trixie: suspicious or content? You decide.

Gaaaah! Freaky double exposure of unknown nature.

Startled close up with paw.

Colin: comftahbuhls or dead? You decide.

Back lawn, mown and unmown.

Mowin’ with flair!

I so fell in love with the tall grass stalks, I asked Barrett if he would leave me a patch to keep growing all summer. He did.

Backyard side bed, patiently waiting for columbines, snapdragons, Canterbury bells, and delphiniums.

Love those kitty photos. And your lawn is…long! but not as long or as weed-ridden as my neighbors:http://interruptedwanderlust.blogspot.com/2008/05/possible-elitist-snob-alert.html
It was a long lawn, but we had a fairly good reason for not mowing it–we took our lawnmower in to get a tune-up and they had it for a month! We had no choice but to wait. Still, I enjoyed that tall beautiful grass.
Great pictures! It was so hot here, I put ice cubes in the squirrel cages–and they loved it. Chewed the cubes up with gusto. Love the lawn!
